Thesis Title
Fabrication of Fe-Cu Alloy by Mechanical Alloying and Severe Plastic Deformation
Research overview
To create this type of immiscible alloys, mechanical alloying (MA) has been employed. It is important to consolidate powder for potential applications. This study will explore new methods based on severe plastic deformation to produce bulk Fe-Cu alloys with high strength and good ductility which are not possible by conventional processing. Detailed microstructural examination will lead to fundamental understanding of the mechanical behaviour of such alloys.
