Thesis Title
Assessing the economic and environmental impacts of lithium-ion battery recycling system
Research overview
Lithium-ion battery (LIB) sales surged in the past decade due to the electric vehicle revolution. A limited lifespan of LIBs suggests millions spent LIBs will be generated in the coming decade, which ultimately needs to be recycled. This research tries to identify some of the main barriers of the development of battery recycling industry and the economic and environmental impacts of a closed-loop LIB battery recycling system in real world.
