Thesis Title
Estimation and control in relation to fluid-structure interaction using reduced-order models
Research overview
The proposed research is to apply reduced-order linear models to fluid structure interaction problems. The complex nature of these problems lends itself to reduced-order modeling. In doing so, a wide range of applications and scenarios can be studied in a relatively short amount of time in comparison to other methods. By employing reduced-order linear modeling to complicated fluid structure interaction problems, a larger parameter space can be investigated in a shorter time, allowing for a deeper understanding of the physical mechanisms.
