Thesis Title
Laboratory study on the role of convection and ocean currents in driving the melting of Antarctic ice-shelves
Research overview
My research interests are ice water interaction, convective boundary layer flows and oceanography. Currently, I use Molecular Tagging Velocimetry (MTV), Molecular Tagging Thermometry (MTT) and Back ground Oriented Schlieren (BOS) to obtain measurements in boundary layer flow that forms adjacent to a melting ice face in a laboratory setup where conditions are maintained similar to that of Antarctica.
