Thesis Title

Planar buoyant plume in a channel with cross flow

Research overview

My research focuses on the buoyant and/or jet plume in a channel with cross flow. An investigation into the relationship between critical velocity, source Reynolds number and the heat release rate has been carried out to conduct a fundamental study of the pertinent mechanisms of the flow physics responsible for plume mixing with cross flow. In addition, the research can assist in parameterising the unclosed turbulent terms within integral models that are used in field applications.
