Melbourne University Racing
The Formula SAE program is an international series of competitions that challenge university student teams to design, build, race and justify an open wheeled, formula style racing vehicle. Since the inception of the local Australasian competition, the University of Melbourne has been competing in the event. Melbourne University Racing, the University’s representative team, is made up primarily of mechanical engineering students (with some input from the electrical faculty) who conceptualise, create and compete in a new vehicle every year.
