Thesis title

AI-assisted Design and Development of Dental Restorative Materials

Research overview

This project develops a chemistry-informed computational framework for designing glass-reinforced dental resin composites (GR-DRCs). It integrates multiscale material simulations, machine learning, and optimization to accelerate restorative material development. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations will model resin cure, while finite element modeling (FEM) assesses fatigue under masticatory loads. Experimental validation ensures real-world applicability. AI-driven insights will guide manufacturers in in-silico material design and testing, aiding dentists in optimizing restorations. The framework enhances clinical outcomes, informs next-generation materials, and streamlines product deployment by bridging experimental, computational, and AI-driven approaches in dental material innovation.
