Thesis title
Modelling of Fuel Droplet Evaporation and Flame Stabilistion in Ramjet-Type Combustora using Machine Learning
Research overview
Combustion stability in air-breathing propulsion systems is strongly influenced by droplet evaporation, turbulent mixing, and flame-holding aerodynamics. This project employs GPU-accelerated high-fidelity numerical simulations to investigate how injector geometry and cavity configuration affect evaporation, ignition, and sustained combustion. Simulation data will be used to train physics-informed machine-learning models capable of accurately predicting combustion stability and efficiency under varying flow conditions. The resulting predictive framework will improve understanding of multi-phase turbulent combustion and support the design of more reliable and efficient ramjet and turbojet systems.
