Thesis title

From Observation to Intent: The Inverse Coverage Control Problem

Research overview

This research investigates an inverse problem in coverage control: how to infer the objectives and coordination strategies of a group of autonomous agents from their observed motion. Assuming the agents act collaboratively to optimise a shared objective, we use partial observations to fit their behaviour to a canonical coverage control model. The aim is to reconstruct the hidden density functions and decision rules driving the group, revealing how it allocates effort, balances competing priorities, and identifies regions of greatest importance.
